Why Choose Vista Verde?
Our sister community, Orinda Senior Village (OSV), was created by the Orinda Community Church and has been providing affordable housing for low-income seniors for almost 40 years. We estimate that during that time, we have provided housing for approximately 1,000 seniors.
The mission of the Orinda Senior Housing Foundation (OSHF) is to provide affordable housing for seniors. In 2018, the OSHF Board collaborated again with their mission partner Orinda Community Church to build a second senior affordable housing community next door to the existing Orinda Senior Village. The ideal location of Vista Verde Community Housing allows seniors access to local bus lines, BART, retail stores, pharmacies, Orinda Community Center (which hosts classes for seniors), Orinda Library and Orinda Community Park and provide enrichment to their lives.
